Yes! All of our products are cruelty-free and we do not test on animals and have verified that none of our suppliers test on animals.
Are your products clean?
If you’re asking whether our products are safe, the answer is yes (see below for details on our safety testing). But we don’t like to use the word clean because there is no regulated, data-backed, cohesive definition of what it means. The definition varies from brand to brand, retailer to retailer, and even amongst experts, and therefore it is merely a subjective opinion. Many companies and so-called experts repeat these opinions so often that they are considered “facts” and no longer questioned. It’s an indoctrination of sorts, meant to coerce you into buying a particular narrative and, possibly, products that support that narrative. B.S. claims and marketing tactics are not what PillowtalkDerm is about! We believe in Formulation First and our brand is all about Science-Backed Solutions. Your products are clinically tested, but what does that mean?
We’ve tested or used data from our third-party raw material providers to verify the safety and effectiveness of every ingredient in our formulas. We also use supplier-provided clinical data to ensure we are using all active ingredients at the correct and studied dose to ensure they live up to their claims. In addition, we ran an independent clinical study of the Major Fade system based on 29 subjects using the products for 8 weeks. The study showed that Major Fade is clinically proven to improve skin tone, and you can find more details from the studies on the product detail pages for Major Fade Flash Mask, Hyper Serum, and Active Seal as well as the Major Fade Solution System bundle page.
Your products are allergy tested, but what does that mean?
We had a certified independent lab conduct HRIPTs (human repeated insult patch tests) on all of our products to ensure they do not cause skin reactivity, irritation, or allergic contact dermatitis.
Are your products safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Dr. Idriss would use all of our products herself if she were pregnant or breastfeeding, but she suggests you talk to your OB-GYN to discuss what you’re comfortable with.
Is your packaging eco-friendly?
The paper used for our secondary packaging is partially made with post-consumer recycled materials. It’s also treated with Biolithe, a water-based additive that decreases the production of the greenhouse gas methane during decomposition. We are a small company and consistently re-evaluating our formulas and packaging to improve our environmental impact. Unfortunately, we cannot modify your order once you’ve received your order confirmation. We may, however, be able to cancel the order. Please email us as soon as possible after placing your order with your name, order number, and subject line “Cancel Order,” and we will do our best to accommodate.

Where do you ship?
We only ship to the United States at this time, but we are expanding our shipping internationally in the future. Sign up for our email list and follow @pillowtalkderm on Instagram and you’ll be the first to know when we expand our shipping options.
Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free shipping on orders over $70.
Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?
We are able to ship to P.O. Boxes if you provide a phone number.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed Mondays through Fridays, with the exception of federal holidays. Orders are typically fulfilled and shipped within 1-2 business days. Shipping times vary by carrier. Once you place an order, you will receive information on the carrier and how to track your shipment.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns and exchanges on opened and unopened products within 30 days of purchase. To request a return or exchange, please email email@example.com with your name, order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for requesting a return or exchange.
